Amy Henderson is a distinguished nonprofit and arts management professional with over 20 years of experience driving growth, fostering donor relationships, and optimizing operations.

Her passion for the performing arts has been a key factor in her success across multiple areas. During her 13-year tenure at the Kansas City Symphony, Amy played a pivotal role as Endowment Campaign Manager, leading the organization’s largest fundraising effort to secure $55 million in sustainable income for the Symphony. As Operations Manager, she effectively managed budgets, negotiated artist contracts, and oversaw high-profile events. At the Lee’s Summit Symphony, Amy successfully navigated the fundraising efforts through the pandemic and increased contributions to record levels in the years following the pandemic. Amy also oversaw a $4 million event production division at Harvest Productions, implementing operational improvements that enhanced employee productivity and client satisfaction during a pivotal ownership transition.

Amy’s work beyond the performing arts includes her time at Peace Partnership, where she played a key role in transforming a nonprofit counseling center by tripling contributions over two years and launching fundraising events to generate revenue and build community engagement. Most recently, Amy managed multi-million-dollar gifts from the Loretto Foundation, while consulting with nonprofit organizations on fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and grant writing. Her work ensured that organizations supported by the Loretto Foundation were equipped with the funds and tools to achieve sustainable growth and impactful outcomes.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Theatre from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys quality time with her family and always appreciates a good cup of coffee.
